The black mesh front and aluminium edges give the Prominent 9 Silent PC Case a distinguished look and great expansion possibilities.
Nexus outfitted the Prominent 9 Silent PC Case with their leading silent case fans. A 14cm is installed on the ceiling of the PC case and a 12cm is installed as air intake in the front of the case. Noise isolating padding is located where your quiet power supply is placed (not included) to prevents resonance. Ventilation holes (and room for a fan) in the bottom of the case create ideal air intake. Thick rubber feet isolate noise from the PC case, as well as keeping the silent PC elevated from the floor to make airflow as smooth and efficient as possible while eliminating resonance.
The Nexus Prominent silent cases are fitted with noise absorption material. The noise absorption material is comprised of a premium dense foam and rubber-like material with great noise isolating characteristics. Nexus fitted a flat layer on the panel behind the motherboard and a wave foam layer on the other panel. These acoustically designed soundproofing materials reduce computer noise substantially.
PCI-cards and optical drives are installed tool-lessly with a convenient fixing system.
The Prominent 9 Silent PC Case features hard disks which are fitted in removable trays to make installation easy and secure. The hard disks are fixed inside the tray with screws and rubber grommets to absorb noise and vibration.
Some cable guides have been included to neatly guide your cables for more efficient airflow and a cleaner look in your system.
Nexus has fixed some nice padding on the areas where normally the PSU would hit the chassis. They have attached some patches on the bottom of the case and a little frame around the PSU opening at the back of the case. These 'bumpers' are made form soft foam/rubber-like materials and absorb and vibration caused by the PSU and prevents this resonance from being transmitted to the chassis.
The Prominent Silent PC Case is fitted with rubber feet.
