This HFX PowerNas Fanless Server is completely passively cooled. While other NAS equipped with fans are loud and dusty, the HFX PowerNAS is the first NAS with HFX's patented passive hard disk cooling technology. Big cooling rips on the sides ensure an optimum temperature. Integrated security fans only become active in case of necessity.

By using high quality hard drives, up to 15 TB can be made easily available in your home network, accessible for all network users. In total, five hard disks can be simply and comfortably added or exchanged in the RAID hot-swap modus.

The HFX PowerNAS can be used as a back-up solution for several computers and also as an extremely secure data storage vault and supports RAID functions, to prevent loss of data.

Equipped with the new Windows Home Server 2011 software from Microsoft. Digital photography, music, video, and documents from multiple PCs are centrally stored and can be easily protected, organized, and connected - from every computer on the home network. The user has full access to his files, even while away from home, with the built-in secure and personalized website address. With the WHS 2011, the user can easily extend the capabilities of the server using software add-ins and expand storage capacity with up to 3TB hard drives. DLNA video, picture and audio servers are already installed, additional server services like Logitech, Bittorrent are easy to install, and Apple devices are fully supported.
