Energy Efficient Power Supply

The Nexus RX-1K power supply is guaranteed to provide you with over 80% efficiency (see graph elsewhere on this page). This means the RX-1K power supply is using the power it is drawing from the wall outlet more efficient and less electricity is wasted. Obviously this is better for the environment and it saves you on your electricity bill. A more efficient power supply also results in a cooler power supply. So less cooling is needed and we are able to make the power supply even quieter.

True Power Supply Silence

By carefully selecting each power supply component, Nexus has created the best possible of mixture of components to make their power supplies as silent as possible. Nexus power supplies are leading the market when it comes to solid performance, at the lowest possible noise level. Nexus tests the noise level of every quiet power supply in an ISO-certified chamber for their stated decibel levels. It is important to know that the background noise in such a chamber is a little over 15 dB(A). These are the best possible conditions for certified tests. Therefore, you should always be aware when a manufacturer is claiming dB(A) values lower then 15 dB(A). If the background level starts at 15 dB(A), how are they able to measure a value lower than 15 dB(A)?
