The Scythe Mini Kaze is an excellent quiet alternative for those looking for a quiet 40mm fan. 40mm fans are challenging to make this quiet because of their high RPM demands. Scythe has successfully produced a quiet, yet effective 40mm mini computer fan.
Note: The 2-pin connector which comes with the Scythe quiet 40mm fan is set to be 6mm wide. A 3-pin connection is not compatible when reading the pulse.
The Scythe Mini Kaze includes 2-pin to 3-pin adapter. This fan can be versatile for use as a chipset fan, as a replacement for external HDD case fan, or as a replacement fan for removable case.
By setting the fan speed on the Scythe Mini Kaze to a relatively low level (3500rpm), a silent noise level of 14.00dBA is achieved.
