Nexus DampTek
AcoustiPack™ Deluxe
AcoustiPack Pre-cut Kit for the Antec Sonata

Sound Dampening Computer Case Insulation

Our silent systems are specifically designed using parts which are the best that silent computing has available. Every item in our systems (as well as the manner in which our quiet PCs are designed, assembled, and configured) is chosen with the most demanding quiet computer enthusiast in mind. As such, most clients will not require the added use of sound dampening materials in order to craft a system that is truly quieter than any other machine previously experienced.

Every system we sell is "quieter than a whisper" and, as such, most customers need to put their ear right to the back of their PC to even tell that the PC is on. However, those true quiet enthusiasts among you may enjoy the added dampening that noise isulating materials give you.

These noise isulating materials shave off that little whir of noise (already far quieter than a standard PC), and bring your Quiet PC down to the level of an almost inaudible soft breeze. If you are interested in the quietest PC possible, consider the following options for noise dampening materials.

Nexus DampTek

Nexus DampTek Noise Absorption Material
Nexus DampTek Noise Absorption Material

This revolutionary sound dampening material brings together the best in noise absorption and isolation. The combination of the Nexus Damptek sound-absorbing foam layer and noise-isolating barrier layer makes this noise absorption material the best of its kind.

AcoustiPack™ Deluxe v2 Noise Dampening Material

This revolutionary sound dampening material, made by AcoustiProducts, substantially reduces case noise without a large increase in case temperature. Both versions of AcoustiPack™ include enough material to cover the inside of a standard case. However, this "deluxe" version of their product is intended for those customers who require the maximum noise reduction. This effective sound dampening material includes extra surface area, low noise reflection of AcoustiContour™ anechoic surface, and acoustic foam blocks.

Flexible Material

All AcoustiPack™ materials are flexible and easy to cut and shape (which, wasn't the case with other sound dampening material we have tried). AcoustiPack Deluxe comes with self-adhesive backing. Unlike other sound dampening materials out there, Acoustipack adhesive has been made so that the material can be peeled off your case in order to adjust the fit of the product, providing you only lightly install the product.

Ideal Noise Reduction

The AcoustiPack™ Deluxe v2 kit contains two standard noise dampening sheets, one anechoic noise dampening sheet, and three foam blocks ideal for insertion into any suitable 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 inch drive bays. Having different thicknesses of acoustic materials allows for greater flexibility and custom fitting. Additionally, the anechoic sheet is specifically designed to minimize sound wave reflection by increasing surface area by approximately 45%.

AcoustiPack™ Pre-cut Kit for the Antec Sonata

This revolutionary sound dampening material, made by AcoustiProducts, substantially reduces case noise without a large increase in case temperature. The Pre-cut Sonata version of AcoustiPack™ includes enough material to cover the inside of an Antec Sonata. This effective sound dampening material includes extra surface area and low noise reflection of AcoustiContour™ anechoic surface and acoustic foam blocks. The kit consists of 5 acoustic foam blocks, 6 shaped pieces of acoustic composite, and a shaped plain acoustic barrier piece for the case floor. Some of the foam blocks are optional, depending on how many internal components are installed. The acoustic foam pieces are designed to occupy unused void space inside the case, and serve to reduce internal volume and absorb internally generated noise. For example, fitting of one of the large blocks supplied into the void space under the HDD cage serves to 'duct' airflow from the front of the case through the HDD cage, therefore, aiding HDD cooling.
