Quiet CPU Fans - Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU P4 & AMD Quiet CPU Cooler

Zalman revolutionized the quiet CPU cooling market with the 7000 series coolers. The 7000B-ALCU has slightly improved upon the 7000A heatsink not only in performance, but in an 7g weight reduction. The CNPS7000B-ALCU comes with the easy-to-use Fan Mate 2, and includes a high strength fiberglass reinforced plastic Backplate for use with AMD Sempron/AMD64 motherboards.

The 7000 series coolers are indeed without a doubt an awesome and innovative design. This CNPS7000B-ALCU is a superior cooler, cooling the most number of CPUs at a mere 20dB. The CNPS7000B-ALCU works with Pentium 4 (Socket 478) CPUs up to the 89 watt Intel Prescott 3.2 Ghz, with AMD Opteron and Athlon 64 CPUs (Socket 754, 939, and 940), and with AMD Athlon/Duron (Socket 462/Socket A). For Socket 775 up to the 89 watt Intel Prescott 3.2 Ghz, please add the ZM-CS1 Socket 775 Installation Clip to the CNPS7000-CU.

An Alteration of Zalman's Innovative Flower Cooler

Zalman has taken the basic concept of their flower cooler and improved upon it. Zalman's 7000 series coolers all have far superior heat dissipation because of their numerous fins. They are similar in design to the flower coolers as it also has much of the look of a rolodex. But this "rolodex" is circular rather than in the shape of a "flower", with a silent fan located in the middle of it. The incorporation of a silent fan directly in the middle of 360 degrees of thin, rolodex-like fins allows for maximum heat dissipation.

Please note: Please use extreme care when moving a computer with the CNPS7000B-ALCU attached. The maximum weight for a cooler is specified as 300g for AMD Socket 462. Special care should be taken when moving a computer equipped with a cooler which exceeds the relevant weight limit.
